Ten ways to Test Well.
Positive Attitude!
Going into a test with a negative attitude can be a huge downfall right from the beginning. Take a moment to rethink and change your attitude a bit. Tell yourself that you'll do fine and chances are the test score will turn out well, or at least a bit better then they would have if you kept the negative attitude!
Be White
By predisposition blacks have lower intelligence scores then white and most other races. Black and whites were also raised in different environments, which has a huge impact on your learning capabilities.
Be In A Good Environment
Children raised in good, healthy environments had a much better learning ability then children raised in poverty. Surrounding yourself in a good environment (enough food, water, love, things to keep you happy, ect) can make both learning and test taking much easier.
Have Smart Parents!
Researchers believe that genetics have a huge part to play in intelligence. Meaning if you're parents are very smart and well off in life chances are you'll be the same. You're parents genetics may cause you to be just as intelligent as your parents, if not more.
Live In The U.S
Europeans that lived in the U.S longer tested better then ones that had just come into the country. So if you're just coming into the country stay awhile before having your intelligence tested.
Study!
And no, I don't mean cram the night before the test. A few days before the test starting taking out your notes and looking them over. Even if it's just for five minutes a night by the time the test comes you'll feel much more prepared.
Don't Cram!
Oh no! You forgot to study for you big test and it's tomorrow! Don't Cram! Cramming overwhelms you and your brain making it hard to retain any information you've read. Even if you do manage to read through all your notes the information probably won't be encoded properly. Meaning that when you need it for the test you're going to draw a blank.
Pay Attention
If you're taking a test at school or an IQ test one of the best things you can do is pay attention. Whether it be during class or to a question/passage you just read in the test it can do you a lot of good to pay attention to what you've read or heard.
Have Geniuses In Your Family
Francis Galton suggested that being a genius was hereditary. So having a genius or geniuses in your family may mean that you're one yourself! Ask around your family and see if you have any geniuses, or have them get their IQ tested. It may make you feel better about yours if theres is lower.
Don't stress out!
I know, it's easy to stress out right before a big test but it's one of the worst things you can do. Take a deep breath and try to relieve the stress by meditating or doing things that de-stress you. Stressing to much can cause stress related disorders, such as; ulcers, tension, hypertension, anxieties, and developing new phobias. So don't stress!!
